ROBINSON/UDAL WEDDING - MAY 2026

6/7/2026

A beautiful ranch wedding in the heart of the Cariboo is exactly the kind of day that reminds me why I love what I do.

Set on the bride's family's stunning property surrounded by wide open landscapes, this wedding had everything — moody spring skies, sweeping winds and breathtaking backdrops in every direction. Early spring in the Cariboo is always a little unpredictable, but that’s what makes it so magical. The light shifts quickly, the clouds move with intention, and every moment feels like it’s unfolding just once.

The bride and groom, Morgan & Jeff, were absolutely gorgeous — completely present with each other and so easy to photograph. Their connection made everything feel natural and effortless, which is always a dream as a photographer.

And yes, their Saskatchewan families may have brought a little extra prairie wind with them, but it only added to the energy and fun of the day. ;)

What stood out most was how much I love witnessing love in this way — real, unscripted and full of emotion. There’s something so special about watching two people fully in it together, and getting to preserve those moments as they happen never gets old.

I also genuinely love travel opportunities like this. Being invited to new places, meeting new families, and photographing weddings in unique landscapes like the Cariboo is one of my favourite parts of this job.

At the end of the day, it really is just fun to love love - congrats to Morgan & Jeff on their beautiful day!

SCHMID FAMILY PHOTOS - MAY 2026

The Schmid family session was the kind of beautiful chaos that makes photographing families so much fun.

This was originally a Christmas gift certificate, finally redeemed in May out at the Lundbom Grasslands and in good Nicola Valley fashion, it came with some of the windiest conditions of the season. The wind didn’t really let up, and everyone just rolled with it, laughing through the gusts and letting the moment unfold naturally.

Between Liv & Daylen’s newly engaged excitement, the quiet love of grandma and grandpa, Moritz (the visiting German who tried to convince me he didn’t speak English at first), and Pepperoni the pup who very much made the photos even more fun, there was always something happening in every direction.

Instead of trying to control the wind, the family just leaned into it - and that’s what made the session so fun. The candid moments, the movement and the laughter all came naturally because nothing stayed perfectly in place for long.

A windy, lively and genuinely joyful family adventure from start to finish.

J + A + G - Family Session - Nov 2025

Some sessions just make my heart so happy — and this one with Alycia, Josh, and Gwen absolutely did. After last year’s surprise engagement and family session, it was so lovely to see them again this season for something a little simpler — just relaxed, easygoing family photos and time spent together.

We met on a calm, cool late fall morning, that quiet in-between time when winter’s starting to settle in. The air was crisp, the light soft and gentle — and besides a few distant sounds of target practice off in the hills, it was mellow and peaceful in the best way.

It’s always such a joy to photograph returning clients, and getting to watch Gwen grow is the sweetest part of all. Her little smiles, her curiosity, the way she lights up when she’s with Mom and Dad — it’s so special to witness each new stage and see how their bond keeps deepening.

The morning was full of laughter, snuggles, and that easy connection that happens when families are simply being themselves.

Thank you, Alycia, Josh & Gwen, for trusting me once again to capture your story. Watching your family grow and change through the years is truly such a gift. 🍂❄️
