When you think of business or professional headshots you often think of simple white backgrounds and business suits. However, I feel a headshot should be a blend of professional and artistic imagery, telling a story about that person.
Business professionals aren't all pencil pushing CEO's of large corporations, they're also agronomists, veterinarians, marketers and PR professionals. They're doctors, lawyers and most importantly genuine people. It's important to me to take the time and allow their inner beauty and passions to shine through when I'm photographing professional business people. Take Louise as an example. She's a young, agronomic advisor, whose passion for agricultural awareness and education is of great importance to her. Yesterday, Mother Nature blessed us with lovely March weather and we took great advantage of it. Since agriculture is of huge importance to Louise, I wanted to make sure her passion and love for the industry shone through. From bin yards, to barns, elevators and grain cars, I made sure it was evident that Louise's passions came out in her images. Regardless of background, Louise's inner beauty and passion shed a lot of light on our afternoon together. Thank you Louise for touring up to our old stomping grounds, where we first met at Lakeland College 9 years ago! I wish you the best in your professional endeavours in the crop production sector of our great Canadian agricultural industry!
