My name is Bree Patterson, and I’ve had a camera in hand since I was ten years old.
What started as a childhood fascination with freezing time inside a frame has grown into more than 15 years of professional experience photographing the people, animals, and landscapes of the West.
I’m largely self-taught, with a Bachelor of Arts complementing my work, and I’ve had the privilege of learning from and working alongside skilled professional photographers across Canada and the U.S.
Since 2011, I’ve poured that experience into B.C.P.hoto – Western Portraiture, a Merritt-based business rooted in capturing authentic Western Canadian stories.
From grassroots 4-H rings and ranch rodeos to major agricultural events like the Canadian Beef Industry Conference, I’ve been trusted to document moments both personal and historic. Whether I’m photographing a family, a herd, or a national gathering, my goal is always the same: to create images that carry grit, grace, and timelessness.
I am based out of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District of BC, and I am willing to travel to clients in and around the provinces of BC, Alberta + Saskatchewan.
