Fall of 2021 has been a busy season for family photography, and Mother Nature has blessed us with some decent days!
I had the privilege of heading out towards Kamloops Lake and into the rolling foothills of the desert countryside to photograph the Cox family - and boy was that a beautiful backdrop! Being an outdoor, natural light photographer, you always keep your fingers and toes crossed when doing family photos. Especially when kids are involved since not every kid is a fan of being outside in dress clothes in the wind. But these two were a hoot and a half! What started out as family photos with all 4 Cox's soon turned into an adventure photoshoot around the property with the kids. These two were a blast to photograph and such great sports (so were Mom & Dad! ;) ), and their pony really made these images come to life. The love and attention they have for her is impeccable and will foster future ranchers! Thank you Cox family for having me out - your kidlets kept me on my toes and their cute little faces and poses made my day!

Over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, I had the pleasure of heading out to a repeat client to snap images of the extended family!
As I've mentioned in previous blogs, I so greatly appreciate repeat clients who call me their preferred photog. It not only makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but attests to the fun I work hard to create during photography sessions. From the images of all the cousins - you can tell it was fun! The Donaldson family is a well established farming and ranching family that has their pulse on a few commodities - beef, dairy, poultry, feed and water buffalo - for over a hundred years. (If you want to learn more about their ag-ventures check out their website.) And the care they have for their farms and ranches, also spills over into their family. One of the best parts of this session was the multi-generations. From Great-Grandma down to great-grandkids (the cousins) and the generations in-between, my camera's viewfinder was filled up with smiles, giggles and all kinds of family photo fun as we stopped at various locations around the ranch. Thank you Donaldson family for having me out and I hope these images are a lovely keepsake for years to come! |
